“ This is the one of the best Italian Cuisines serving more Vegetarian options. Although menu doesn’t have a separate vegetarian menu but the Pasta page is totally vegetarian. We dine here for many years and this place is super popular. They have a longtime local loyal customers. It’s not a huge place and little bit crowded and noisy. You will come again and again. Just taste the all delicious dishes. ”
“ My goodness. This restaurant is hands down wonderful. We went for I don’t know how many times this past week- cannot say enough good things. Went for lunch (2 of us) shared the mussels, a soup, salad and the osso bucco (which is just so good all the time. Never had the mussels- highly recommend. Also- the service is wonderful as well. Go there as much as you can! ”
“ Great date night place. Best Osso Bucco I’ve had in many years. We started with the mussels appetizer and nearly licked the bowl clean... white wine, butter, garlic and herb sauce! Yum!! The house salad was colorful, creative, and delicious. Definitely make reservations for Saturday night! Nice cocktail and wine selection too. Enjoy! ”
“ I had a fantastic first experience at this restaurant over the weekend with a friend for lunch. From start to finish, everything was excellent! The appetizer bread served with olive oil was the perfect way to begin our meal—simple yet incredibly flavorful. We shared a Caprese salad, baked oysters, and two meatballs, and each dish was outstanding. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors well-balanced, and the presentation inviting. Mikey was very sweet and informative! Overall, a wonderful dining experience—I’ll definitely be back! ”
“ Had an excellent panini/soup business lunch. Katherine was splendid to deal with. Ask for her. Cozy yet upscale atmosphere. ”
“ Best Italian food in Metairie ! I would stop there, but you need to know what is so amazing. We had heard several times that we needed to visit but have put it off honestly for years. Our mistake. Now we’re planning on how we can get back there at least two times a month. There are a lot more dishes for us to try. We arrived at around 4 PM on a Saturday night hoping to be able to get a table and we were successful. Staff was amazing very friendly and service was wonderful. The whole time we were there. First off: their bread and olive oil is magic on the tongue. It arrives at the table, looking a little smashed, but is incredible and delicious with everything. We started with the mussels appetizer - the mussels were cooked perfectly and oh my gosh !!!! The broth- so good. We ate all the mussels and then proceeded to eat the broth with the amazing bread. Slightly tangy and just layers ofgreat flavor. Apologies we can’t talk about the alcohol because we were drinking water. Maybe I’ll update this later when we go back. Our mains were Osso Buco and Beef Bushaloni. The osso bucco was a large piece of meat, of course, wrapped around a bone. The sauce on the also Bogo and its pasta was dark rich and flavorful. Some Italian places tend to put the same sauce on everything, but not here though. The sauce on the beef Bushaloni was uniquely its own. The Bushaloni had some very unexpected yet amazing flavors inside the roll. And again the sauce for the pasta on the Bushaloni had its own unique flavor profile that was rich and amazing and yet very different from the osso bucco. Having lived in Italy for a little while I know how important the pasta alone is to any Italian dish. The pasta by itself had its own rich flavor profile. They did not just throw pasta in water. They have some other magic seasoning sauce going on in there. bellissimo By around 5 PM people were coming in and the staff of course was asking if they had a reservation so my suggestion is make sure you have a reservation. It’s worth it. ”
“ I had Christian as a waiter and he was super nice! He even looked up the weather for me on his phone. I was worried that day about the rain because I was flying to Boston that day, and he asked if I wanted him to look up the weather on his phone for me. And he kindly did it for me. I also asked him to wait to bring the drinks out until I was seated at the table. I traveled alone so I was just taking a precautionary measure. Christian was so polite and understanding. If you go to Sandro's, request Christian!!! I also had the muffaletta sandwich and ceaser salad!! It was good!! ”
“ My husband and I came in for a date night and loved everything we got. We ordered egg plant sticks for an appetizer and they were crunchy with a good red sauce. We split the Daube and we both thought it was delicious, great flavor and super tender meat. It came with a Caesar salad that was pretty dry, it definitely needed more dressing. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and it was light and fluffy with a good rich flavor. I also ordered an aperol spritz and it was good, a little bitter but still good. ”
